Our preschool finally made it's long anticipated zoo trip today! It was the perfect day to go. Many of the animals were up and moving including the rhinos, elephants, zebras, & monkeys! We finally saw an awake lion and the otters entertained us with an aquatics performance. The baby was enthralled with the many peacocks walking around the zoo. The boys were lucky enough to get to feed a giraffe and were thrilled to see a mother duck and her eight babies! All in all, a very fun morning at the zoo!

Looks like it was hot.. that poor lion is camping out in the shade. It also looks like you had a lot of fun.
I want to go to the zoo! Supposedly there is one in the Bronx that is suppose to be good. I think your trip has inspired me to check it out. I love the pictures!

It wasn't too hot, actually. About 80 and the sun would hide behind the clouds off and on. This is a great zoo. It has tons of shade trees and greenery. Not the desert landscape like the Phx zoo.
