Our trip to the Laughingstock Ranch in Alberta, Canada was full of adventure. We drove 2800+ miles through four states! We were detained at the border & I was grilled by one serious Canadian border agent. We saw dozens of horses & cattle along the roads. I read 6 books, listened to Blue October on the iPod & missed Matt like crazy. The kids had an unforgettable time playing with their cousins from Calgary & California. We saw professional kite flyers at the Pincher Creek kite Festival. Miss M* saw a black bear while atving with her aunt & cousin. The preschooler discovered wellies after he lost one of his shoes in the creek. Baby A* was in heaven, playing outside most of the time & getting very dirty. The first grader bonded with his fellow star wars-loving cousins. My nephew & his cousin were baptized in a tranquil baptismal service in the creek. We witnessed an unreal electric storm. The kids were delighted with the deer we saw after church. We went on several beautiful hikes at the ranch & in the Waterton Provincial Park. Thanks to our Canadian family for an unforgettable time!

Wow! You guys squished lots into that trip. Looks like it was worth the drive. And yes we would LOVE to go swimming on Thurs. We have swim lessons so anytime after about 10:15, just let me know when and what I can bring!
