My kindergartner, who's been wearing his class nametag for three days straight. He even wanted to sleep in it until I explained the hazards of sleeping with a string around your neck!
When I took him to his class he ran right in & didn't even look back. Sigh! He's been excited to go to school every day this week & comes home smiling. He told me his favorite thing about the first day of school was making a new friend at lunch. He shared his oreos with her!
The kindergartner also had his 6th birthday on the first day of school. We brought him some balloons to celebrate when we picked him up from school. He was thrilled!
The 4th grader who barely tolerates the picture-taking process. Her backpack weighed at least 2o pounds! I snuck in & got one classroom picture. You can tell she's trying to hide from me. lol!
The 4th grader was excited that one of her best 3rd grade friends was in her class as well as three other kids from her last class. Familiar faces always help the new school year transition to go smoother!
The preschooler didn't want to be left out of the loop on his first day of preschool! We were a half hour late but we finally got there. He is so excited to play with his friends & get to make crafts & sing songs. Mommy's excited to be able to spend a little one on one time with the baby!
The first day of school- one of the happiest & saddest days of the year for yours truly!

I'm glad he likes school so much! How fun.. what do you remember about kindergarten? How about the letter people?? Mister M with his munching mouth.
All these first day of school pics brings back memories from being a little girl...those were the days?? Now worries, just play play play!
