The fifth grader had her first band concert. The kids played some of my favorite Christmas songs and not too shabbily, I must say! Considering they've only been playing for a few months, they did very well. I have to say I'm grateful we live in a school district that allows the kids to play religious Christmas music like Silent Night and selections from Handel's Messiah. The fifth grader had her first band concert. The kids played some of my favorite Christmas songs and not too shabbily, I must say! Considering they've only been playing for a few months, they did very well. Ahh.. memories! Did you remember I played the clarinet too? I stopped before Junior High because I thought it was uncool. Boy was I dumb, I still was uncool, it wouldn't have mattered if I played in the band or not!
